great kit! assembly a little difficult but nevertheless its great!

The instructions were absolutely useless. I had to watch numerous YouTube videos to figure out how to assemble my kit. Luckily, the process isn't too hard once you get going. I recommend you look up how to do it before your kit arrives.
For some reason, the price for this set has increased by about $80. If I paid $328 for this, I would be beyond furious, but luckily I only paid $250 ($212 with a discount) which would be fair if I received instructions that were actually helpful, and if I didn't have pieces breaking on me during assembly. A plastic covering ended up falling inside one of the toms as I attached it to my bass drum, and at another point, I loosened a piece of equipment that ended up falling apart. Luckily, I was able to fix it.
I would rate five stars if pieces didn't break on me, if I had instructions that were helpful and if the price had stayed at $250.

He started drum lessons a few months ago, he is 13 and it is perfect for him while he continues to learn. We do intend to slowly buy new pieces in a year or so to keep updating the set but it is worth it for the price for anyone who is starting out and learning. Good sound for the price easy to tune with tune bot and assembling it was very easy, it just took time.

Very good quality and easy to install

Bought this for my boyfriend, he loves it. It was very easy to assemble, only took us about 45 minutes. We did have a drum key, which made it easier. Otherwise worth the money!

Drum sets can be very expensive (thousands of dollars) or the very cheap models can be very bad and disappointing. This set strikes the balance between usability and features and affordability. The set is well constructed out of real wood and is quite attractive. This is a full size set, not a toy or kid set, and I am a proponents of kids (unless they are really young) to learn on a full size drum set. My son (and my cat) assembled the set without even watching the manufacturer video on it, and he thought it was easy to assemble despite the single sheet of instructions. It took him about an hour to assemble. I have purchased several Eastar instruments and I love their level of attention to details.

Amazing kit for the price. New to drums, but compared to expensive kits I’ve played, I can’t tell the difference. Adult sized; very large. Easy to set up, but you may need to watch a video tutorial. Material is high quality and durable, not cheaply made. Cymbals could use a tiny upgrade, but overall extremely impressed, I would recommend this kit for anyone.

This drum kit offers more pieces than most others in its price range, is full size and surprisingly good quality. My 10 year old loves it and I'm having a great time using it as well.

My husband always wanted to drum set. So round this May I was looking around and shopping around and get a good price. And I happened across This set up. Well he couldn't have been happier. He loves it and practices and plays it everyday almost. And we got a good deal on it I think.

It came on time I been playing and whaling on it and I'm loving it. I nerd. Some. Evans batter heads on it but other then that not a problem there really isn't a problem with it.I just. Prefer. The Evans batter heads.

The set is of very high quality. Our granddaughter lovesick her drums, as it was a surprise birthday gift.

I bought this as a present for music students of mine. The three brothers were able to assemble the kit on their own and I helped fine tune the setup the following week.
Throw a blanket or towel in the bass drum to muffle it, tune the toms to 5ths (think of the theme to George of the Jungle) and you're good to go.
The cymbals and hi hat stand are light and wouldn't stand up to the rigors of gigging. The cymbals are aren't very musical sounding (rough tone) but get the job done for the price.
For reference I teach all sorts of instruments and collect vintage drums. This kit won't sound like a classic hand made American drum and it's value won't hold over time. However it's meant to be an affordable stepping stone and in that regard, it's great.

This is a great set for a thirteen year old beginner. A friend of the family tuned it and commented on the quality. My son absolutely loves it!
My husband and another adult put it together fairly easily but did get stumped at one point. Thankfully, there are numerous helpful videos online showing how to assemble similar sets. Overall,I am very happy with my purchase and would most definitely recommend it to someone else looking for an entry-level drum set

Don’t buy anything from this company my order never come and they don’t have costumer services they just have email and they never replied you back I lost $280 with them.

It was not a good experience. I have tried to contact you at least four times, apparently unsuccessfully because you haven't responded. I did not receive all of my order: I did not receive any Tension Rods with which I can finish assembling my drums. I need 48 of them: 16 for the bass drum, 12 for the floor tom-tom, and 20 for the two high tom-toms. Also, I did not receive a foot pedal for the bass drum and two legs for the bass drum. I'm not very happy right now. Please contact me at daniel_jasso1946@hotmail.com or by phone at 575-437-8257 or 575-491-7441 or by mail at 3421 Fayne Ln, Alamogordo, NM 88310 USA.

I bought this for my Son to learn to play, he's always fancied giving it ago he loves it! set up took about 1hr and is pretty straight forward, just turn the key to get the drum skin to sound the way you want, the kit looks fantastic mine has a lovely black finish, The kit is well made , feels sturdy with nice wood, everything you need to get started comes in the box, a kick pedal and stool which you normally have to buy as extras! they even give you some great starter cymbals a hi hat and crash/ride, everything sounds great you could easily learn on this and enjoy it without things falling apart! Very impressed and excellent value for money

My 10 year old started drum lessons and we wanted a way for him to practice without breaking the bank. Due to his age we didn’t want to get a junior kit and have him outgrow it in a year. This is a good size for him. Being drums it’s of course loud, but sounds good and he’s having a great time and gets to feel like a real rock and roller

My son (and my cat) assembled the set without even watching the manufacturer video on Amazon, and he thought it was easy to assemble despite the single sheet of instructions (but again Eastar has a video right here on Amazon). It took him about an hour to assemble. I have purchased several Eastar instruments and I love their level of attention to details, like providing a few extra bolts for assembly. The kit comes with a throne (that's what drummers call the stool they sit on :) ), a set of sticks and a drum key for assembling and tuning it, so you're ready to play after assembly. The heads (the plastic "skin" that you bang on) are good general purpose ones. Drummers can get "religious" about what heads they prefer, so once you become more proficient you may want to change them for the type you prefer. In their item description, Eastar seems particularly proud of the snare drum, which is often the weak point of cheaper sets. It does sound quite good and has great bounce and clarity. The snare stand is well built and provides a comfortable angle. The snare drum skin is textured rather than being smooth, not sure if it's part of the snare sound design? it *might* get dirty faster?
The cymbals are also good beginner cymbals. Once you know what you like, you may decide to upgrade them to more professional ones, but this entire drum set is cheaper than what some cymbals go for and sound much better than the "pots and pan lids" that came with another brand's cheap set a friend got last Christmas.
All in all, a great value for the beginner (why spend thousands if you're not sure you're going to stick with it) but also a potential set for the gigging musician that doesn't want his expensive set to get damaged when playing at a bar, or needs a second set for the practice space.
