I think this is a great beginner keyboard. I say beginner because after playing different pianos and keyboards for 25 years I think sooooomething is off about the touch and the feel and I keep reaching for my other keyboard to practice and work with. Very slightly. A couple notes in the low end react differently to the rest of the keyboard as well. That being said, this keyboard LOOKS so sleek and professional, it's light and easy to move and rearrange at home (big plus) the speakers are powerful and great for entertaining friends without plugging in an amp or asking your friends to use your headphones. I have not unleashed all the potential and options this keyboard comes with but so far, this keyboard is a great look and value for someone in the market to start learning piano :)

Excellent keyboard. Very well packed for shipping. Good accessories included. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that some idiot decided it would be a good idea to put a sticker on the highest key. Peeled the sticker off then spent the next hour trying everything I could imagine to get the glue off the key. This sticker thing is very bad and needs to be addressed at the factory.

Very happy with my purchase of the Donner SE-1 digital piano. I was impressed with the review by Terry Miles on youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WJCClPA6w-c&t=939s). Speaker(s) quality is good and dozens of voices (grand piano, harpsichord, organ etc.) It also came with headphones for private practice / playing.
The portable stand was equally impressive. It has the option of wheels or static "feet" and was pretty easy to assemble.
All high quality!

I bought this thinking it would be a great budget piano with great weighted keys. I was wrong. If you are looking for a real weighted key feel do not get this keyboard. I am sending mine back

The grand piano sound is excellent. I wish I could say the same for the Hammond B-3 sounds or the Fender Rhodes sounds. They're okay, but not real close to the original sounds from these instruments. Still, for $400, I am very pleased.

This company feels like it was made by musicians for musicians. Everything I've experienced from the Donner product has been nothing short of amazing and everything I've looked for in a product. I've quickly grown to trust this brand as a company that puts out products they would personally use.
With that said, the piano sounds and feels amazing. You can definitely tell the difference with the weighted keys versus your traditional lower cost electric keyboard; which this replaced. It has a premium feel and is full featured with multiple settings, sounds and instruments. .
It was easy to put together. You have 5 pieces to the stand that are affixed via screws and a couple of bolts, the keyboard, itself is connected via bolts with knobs on them, so you can easily detach and reattach the keyboard to the stand without needing any tools.
The stand is super sturdy and the keyboard extremely versatile. Definitely a premium, quality product from Donner that is travel friendly.

I started piano lessons on a digital piano and I could really use one of these pianos!

The sound on this keyboard is really good and the feel of it as far as playing is also very good.
There are a couple of drawbacks. I found the interface very cumbersome. It is relatively tricky to go through the many sounds available. I found I had to keep a spreadsheet to try and keep track of them - ranging from good piano sound - to far out spacey. There are a lot of different sounds so you can find the one you like, but it may take you a while to figure out how to find it and then how to get back to it.
This keyboard also includes features which allow you to play two different sounds at once which is helpful for songwriting, although I can't imagine using the record feature as found on the keyboard to do all the complexities of songwriting.
I was unable to get the keyboard to integrate with my computer software, but I don't have the expensive programs and it's probably easier on those than the software I use. The keyboard is also rather heavy. I had envisioned taking this to band practice, but it's not practical as it's too big and heavy for that, but if you want to set it up and use it it is very stable.
I output the sound to an amp and then I tried my headphones and the keyboard sounded really good for either use.Overall I was very pleased with all of its features and feel of the keyboard.

We’ve been in the market for a keyboard for three years and finally settled on this one because of reputation. It has exceeded our expectations as a beginner serious keyboard. Big fan.

This is a really great beginner piano. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. No missing parts. Lots of sounds to choose from! Lightweight and easy to move around if needed.

Excellent sound yet economical. Perfect for an entry level player but capable enough for a professional.

This is such a great piano for beginners to advanced. It is very portable. The sound is phenomenally clear at this price point. The volume is plenty loud for any medium sized room. Lots of features and options like: sustain pedal, headphones, Bluetooth, microphone, etc. impressive unit at great price point.
Trust you found this review honest and helpful:-)

Great for a beginner piano players. Great sound quality plan. Easy knob turn not so great but good for controlling. USB is for hooking up to the computer. To hook up to music software you have to have a Midi cord

Works perfect, exactly as described! Absolutely love it!

Not being a professional, I’m not qualified to say whether this is actually “professional” quality or not, but it’s a nice keyboard and more than enough for a home user or somebody who is learning how to play. Besides the weighted keys and realistic piano sound, it has all the features you’d expect in a portable keyboard of this type, including many different voices, automatic accompaniment and built-in rhythms. The voices are realistic-sounding to my ears at least, though it’s not that easy to quickly select a different one.
It doesn’t come with a stand so you’ll need to either buy one or find a table or desk that’s large enough for it, and a spot on the floor for the sustain pedal if you use that. The included headphones are “okay”.

This is the closest I felt to playing a real piano in a while. We had an old, antique style piano back in our old house that couldn’t be moved easily, so it stayed there. I’ve missed it a lot, and had replaced it with an affordable electric piano. That did ok, but at times it was very frustrating.
A real piano has weighted keys, and you can put your entire soul into the keys. Cheap e-pianos don’t do that. How much depth is lost while playing a cheap piano! Also, that keyboard made it frustrating for me to sync music apps, since the sound quality was off.
This Donner piano is a real winner! It feels so close to playing a real piano! The keys are weighted, which allows you to put your entire being into the music. The sound quality is amazing, even with the headphones! The headphones are really comfortable to wear, and the sound is very comfortable, too, even when loud.
This piano is full-size, and quite heavy! I would not recommend using this as a portable piano/keyboard. You need a good stand for this, and enough space.
The quality of the actual piano is impressive as well. You can tell that this is a great quality piece from a reputable brand. It comes very securely packaged, so you can feel comfortable ordering this online.
This isn’t the top e-piano on the market. But at this price point, and coming from a reputable brand, this is an excellent choice.

I can't praise it enough! It met my expectations. This digital piano has the look, sound and feel of an acoustic piano without the hassle of maintenance. This keyboard is perfect for my piano as an extension of the piano. These Settings are carefully packaged to enhance its aesthetic. The recording and playback are very good. Highly recommended

A classic and stylish portable piano is exactly what I need!

This is the thinnest heavy hammer electronic piano I have ever bought. It is very light and easy to carry out for performances!
