In order to use the Phono input on my receiver, I had to rig up a ground wire to the RCA cable, since the turntable does not have a dedicated ground point. Without grounding, there is significant ground loop hum. Switching to the turntable's built-in pre-amp and using a regular input on my receiver did not exhibit the ground loop hum issue. However, that pre-amp apparently has some sort of noise gate which silenced the output of quiet passages and fade-ins/fade-outs. Aside from the above issues, with proper grounding and the signal going to a Phono input, the audio performance is very good for an entry-level turntable.

This is my third turntable, so I have some points of reference. I purchased this turn table as an impulse on Black Friday under $100, at that price is s bargain because of its many features like a pre-amp, USB and Bluetooth. Things I wish it had: removable headshell and auto return at the end of the disk. Would I pay $199 for it? No way, wait for it to go on sale to at least $150.

After hesitating a bit before ordering this Donner turntable, the brand of which told me nothing, well I'm not disappointed with my choice, quite the contrary! Very good turntable with belt drive and at a contained price. Quality Audio Technica cell, pitch adjustment, and an "Eject" function which allows the stop of the turntable and the return of the arm without having to manipulate it. The counterweight and anti-skating adjustments are quite easy by following the instructions in the manual. Good RCA, USB, and Bluetooth connectivity that works perfectly with my Pioneer monitoring speakers. Top !

Very happy with this turntable. I love that it can connect with bluetooth, so you can use your headphones or a speaker. It was a bit tricky to set up, as the instructions were a little difficult to understand when balancing the tone arm, but youtube is very helpful here. (One thing to note: the belt is already installed on the bottom of the plate and it is very thin, so it is easy to miss. I was very confused when assembling it because I could not find the packaging that contained the belt. I thought they had forgotten it.) I really like the auto return button that returns the tone arm. As a whole, this turntable looks sleek and sounds good. A solid option for someone who wants something better than those all in one consoles.

This turntable is a great value in its price range.It has an adjustable anti skate and counterweight.It also features auto return so you don't have to get up at the end of every side you play.It has a sturdy build and all functions work properly. It comes with a decent cartridge and stylus.(AT3600) The sound of this unit is on par with the popular ATLP60 which sells for less but is not as adjustable.The pitch adjustment is conveniently located although I have not needed to use it as it has been dead accurate since the first time I set it.I am still glad I bought it.

I was skeptical about getting this turntable, considering Donner isn’t exactly known for making turntables but I am impressed. What sold me on this is the fact that it has an counterweight while still being under $200, in addition to the Audio Technica cartridge design rather than the crummy red stylus you see often. Out of the box, the turntable body is made of a heavy steel (not a cheap plastic or wood) which adds a bit of weight to the unit. Playback on this unit is at an extremely high quality, and the counterweight was able to reach a solid ~3.3g without any issue at all. Only downside, is that the “auto remove” feature (to take the arm off after a record’s completed) is flawed, at least on my unit: it doesn’t lift the record up before dragging it away, leading to it scratching the record in the process. This only happened on one record before I used the switch on the back to turn it off though, and the scratch itself does not affect playback whatsoever. Overall, highly recommended for the price!
