Connecting software effects tutorial

(The following tutorial takes the GarageBand of the IOS system as an example)
Step 1: Use the attached 3.5mm cable to connect devices with software effects, such as mobile phones/ipads, etc. (Some devices require adapters to connect to the 3.5 cable, which is not included)

Step 2: Open the effect software on the device, here is the GarageBand on the Iphone

Step 3: Find the guitar amplifier module on the software and choose the amplifier you like

Step 4: Open the monitor in the effect software
(Note: Monitor will appear only when GarageBand is connected to Donner M-10 amplifier)

The sound quality of this is great. It's a bit finicky at the start to get acquainted with how the overdrive knob works together with the master volume knob, and the bass/treble don't do much for how my wife's guitar sounds, but once you got the hang of it, this makes very good sound for the small form factor. Build quality on this is great. It's nice and retro-looking; pretty sturdy from what I can tell. Only complaint is that the power cord could be a bit longer. I didn't try out the app integration, but it has a button to use Garageband and other phone apps to control the filters instead of the fixed analog overdrive.

Perfect little amp with lots of features

Good little amp, has bright sparkly cleans and a decently usable overdrive setting, ofc it's not Marshall quality tone, a little fizzy with the overdrive but is definitely something you can play with. Good build quality, feels similar to my Fender Mustang LT25 which is a good bit more. Very light and compact too, would be a great desktop amp or demo amp. Not bad for beginning players or an upgrade from say a starter pack squier amp or likewise.

Sounds great, the overdrive is a little fuzzy in sound but it’s supposed to be, I still have yet to hook up the app to it but I think it works great without it. It’s good and loud as well

Full disclosure: I'm an amateur musician, good ear, but not a lot of "gear" experience. I go to "parlor jams" and wanted a good-sounding amp that's easy to carry. The Donner M-10 exceeds my expectations. My plan had been to get a small amp and an inexpensive multi-effects pedal, but with the M-10's "App" port, I can plug in my phone and access any effect imaginable. The M-10 is about the size of a large toaster, and the sound quality is very good in my opinion. The bass is not as rich as a much larger amp that I own, but it's hard to find fault given the M-10's size and portability. A solid 5 stars overall.

Overall this is a very neat amp. I'm really liking this trend towards making tiny amps that utilize technology to increase their flexibility and sound quality. The result here is a very light, small, portable amp that on one hand sounds very British in its voicing. And on the other hand it can produce a drastically different sound with the smartphone app. My only issue is that I was not able to find a free app that produced no lag. I got very close but not quite there. A part of that is down to how the sound has to travel through your smartphone as the preamp but really that shouldn't add any noticeable lag on its own. What is nice about this system here is that because it just runs the sound through your smartphone as the guitar preamp you can use a variety of different apps. It also turns this from just a solid, basic guitar amp into whatever amp you might need. You're not restricted this way and at the mercy of whatever support Donner would provide for their software in 3-5 years. Instead you're at the mercy of Android developers, which with the way the market is trending should be fine. There's already numerous apps and I expect more will arrive in the future. The amp without the app has a real nice gritty British tone to it. Whether that's clean or distorted. It would greatly benefit from a gain knob and a mid EQ knob but there is some charm to it just set flat. The sound is tight and sharp. You can tell it's a small amp but it doesn't sound like a cheap small amp, which is nice. It could really use a built in reverb as well, even if it was a small amount and not user controllable. It really opens up the amp. Still on it's own this is a really great little travel amp. It's got all you really need on the top panel for practicing on the go, and with the right app it's got a ton of flexibility.

I bought this Donner M10 along with a Donner DA20 (which costs about 20 bucks less), planning to keep the better-sounding option. The sound of the DA20 is so much better. This one seems very mid-saturated and you only get a treble and bass knob. Also, the clean setting does not get very loud at all. When overdrive is on, the amp is nice and loud, it’s just strange the clean can’t get very loud.

Bought this as a replacement for my frontman 15G which died a couple weeks ago. The range of tone that you can produce is similar, I imagine since the M-10 is a smaller amp the maximum volume output will be slightly less. Where this product shines is in the features, the phone connectivity has been very helpful for the last week. I find myself more pressured and more focused when there's a band in the back track. If maximum volume is not something very important to you, which I imagine most people wouldn't mind since they are not designed to play gigs but rather practices, this will serve you well.
