I haven't got it.... but it seems really good based on the description! It's very detailed but I wish there were optional wood types. Overall, without wood types, I would still buy this guitar! Can't wait to see more! :)

This was the most surprising guitar purchase I've ever made. I would place it on the same level as my big-baby Taylor. Sounds crazy but its true. Lightweight, bright sound, fantastic playability action right out of the box. It's as if someone took a Taylor and put the Donner name on it. Yeah it's that good. If they all come out of the factory like this, and mine wasn't just a fluke, than my hats off to Donner. It doesn't have that concert deep sound like my Breedlove, but it does have a bright clarity (and I do not mean tinny) that I need for recording some of my songs.

This was a perfect price, for an amazing bundle! My child loves this guitar and was able to use all tools that came with it independently.

I bought this a few weeks into the Covid Qaurantine to try to learn how to play guitar. I dabbled in my teens, but never really learned how to play.
So far, I still cant really play, but its definitely a good one to learn on. Fits the body good, it seems to hold its tuning quite well (might need to tighten the set screws on the tuners), neck isnt super wide so pretty much any size hand can use it...a few female friends of mine have used it and said it was a good size.
I have quite a few musically gifted friends, some who actually perform/record, and theyve all made the same comment when they play it wow, this sounds really good!
I like that it had the option to put the guard on or not...I chose not to, I prefer the clean look.
Package arrive quickly and the guitar had no damage or anything. The case it comes with is pretty thin and flimsy but itll keep any superficial damage off it, plus its just handy to carry.
The second and possibly best reason to get this guitar is itll be handy having it around when people come over for parties or bonfires!

Great guitar for the price.
Pros:
Tuner works great.
Strings are decent.
Strap and Capo are nice.
Bag is good.
Only thing I noticed as a con is the string action is a little high.

Solid guitar.
It sits well in the lap.
I like the optional pick guard.
I'm still playing the factory strings.
I crammed a pick up in the sound hole for recording.
This guitar is a great low cost opportunity to achieve musical and mythical greatness.
That said,
there is something to adage about buying online and that is, you cant touch the thing
first.
Out of the box:
Strings are really high.
The intonation is not so good.
I tune using the 12th fret. Fix later. Need tracks now.
My fat fingers are not appropriate for this neck down at the low notes. Not a pretty sight.
Also, taking into account the low price, I do wish more time could be spent on the neck surface.
Bending notes feels like playing on 80 grit sand paper.
When one is trying to write a swampy, reverbery, slow, solo noted, passionate, masterpiece and along with the beauty is the grinding of the strings against the fret board like a zombie beaver chewing it's way back from the depths of hell.
One can't help wonder, is there nothing that can be done?
If I had another 1/4" wider neck down at the low end and the surface of the fret board was finished I'd give this guitar...
Oh I dunno, two thumbs I suppose.

nice offer

The guitar is nice . 2 frets are loose but I'll manage thank you

The guitar was fresh cut and brand new, still had that amazing new wooden product smell. Has a good sound. I expected the neck to be wider though. I'm struggling to press cords without pressing neighboring strings now. But I'm a complete beginner, so perhaps it should work like that in beginning. Not sure. The guitar looks beautiful. Was happy to see accessories in the same package.

It's very nice and the sound was pretty good definitely I will share with my friends.

Looks, sounds good...very welcomed during lockdown

Gorgeous guitar for the price range. Donner's workmanship is beautiful and the resonance on this instrument is top notch. It came with the strings stretched and just needed a fine tuning. Beautiful instrument.
Update: We've now had this guitar for a full year and have had no issues. It's beautiful and sounds wonderful. We are still using the original strings. They are holding up well. I bought this for a teen. We started lessons slow as he built up callouses (steel strings). Having a beautiful guitar has made a difference. He loves the guitar and wants to practice. He now has a Donner electric guitar and practices daily.
Mom won on this purchase!

Hello! As an unpaid/unsponsored purchaser, I can definitely assure you this is a fantastic guitar!
If there is something to learn from Carmine Street Guitars in New York, it is that the longer wood ages/dries, the better the resins in the wood crystallize, resulting in a much richer resonance, especially the soundboard.
My concern with overall/neck construction is over time, different woods characteristically shrink at different rates, thus the glue and adherence of dissimilar woods result in structural separation/warping/dissimilar curvature, resulting in changing tonal characteristics, and possible necessity to require a qualified luthier to essentially save and restore the guitar.
I can safely say this process occurs over decades, depending on how you play and store the instrument.
To the point, this Donner will continue to perform for a very long time. The attention to details is apparent; my only critical observation is the lack of interior finishing, with some rough edges visible from the soundhole. Otherwise, for the sound, quality, and dollar-for-dollar investment, this Donner guitar is a winner!
In addition, this my third (3rd) Donner guitar: I also have the electric "Strat" and their electric "P-bass"; I paid full price, independently, no "write a good review for discount".
In fairness, how do I qualify to evaluate? Fact is, I just turned 62 years young, and started as a long-hair-hippy-type dude in the '70s...go figure!
Hope you enjoy as much as I do. NO COVID here, maintaining my social distancing/bubble. Stay healthy. All the best, Guru_60.

Very light and affordable
