This pedal rules. I am just beginning to play guitar and wanted something that would pair well with my small practice amp. This sounds great!!!!
The only thing I wasn’t aware of initially is that it doesn’t come with an AC power adapter and there is no option to add a battery. Would be nice if one was included at a nominal fee. These are things that are an oversight to people who are just beginning to play guitar. Human tested , kitten approved.

This is a beautiful pedal. All three modes are unique and great sounding - the tone at noon provides a pretty transparent dirt, with the top one being a bit less compressed and more grungy, and the bottom one more saturated, like a Marshall amp. The middle one is similar to the Marshall but with more present mids - it is the "tighter" because of that, but I prefer to Eq down the chain. The only fault is that at *very* high gain it is a bit noisier than other circuits with similar gain. But I think this pedal shines with gain between 9pm and noon, and can be used outside of that in both directions as well. It stacks *very* well with other pedals. I use it to drive a metal pedal at low gain, and I drive it with rat/klon/timmy style pedals, maybe all stacked on top of each other, and it works like a champ and adds some saturation and nice tone. I love this thing. Did I mention it is inexpensive? With three distinct modes it is a steal. It can definitely be your only distortion on a good pedal board.

The tone switch is good for helping swap and make it the sound you want, I do get volume jumps when I turn up the gain. Overall a great pedal.

it sounds realy good and you can use tones from overdrive to distortion. the only thing i dont like is when you roll the tone control to the left you lose too much definition and becomes mudy, but this pedal will stay in my pedal board, love it!

This pedal offers great smooth high gain distortion. I use it with the gain at about 10:00-11:00 for worship guitar lead riffs. With the gain at about 3:00 and higher You can get that chuggy metal sound if that's what you're looking for. I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase and would recommend it for sure, especially for the money.

This pedal cleans up real nice one the low gain settings and then smacks you in the face with the high gains (In a good way lol). the tone has a fairly wide range aswell. The only con I've noticed is when you get above about 3 o clock on the gain, it starts getting noise in it. My multi effects pedal has a noise gate in it so it's not a huge deal, but something to be mindful of. I use it with the gain at about 10:00-11:00 most of the time and stack an overdrive for when I need to cut through the mix. Overall, great value for the money!

Solid pedal, well built and most importantly it sounds very good. It took me a little while to dial it in but when I did it was quite satisfying. I'm mainly using it for a lower gain sound but still with a good amount of sustain and it fills a niche nicely for what I'm looking for tonewise. It's got a ton of gain on tap too if that's what you are looking for. Pretty versatile little pedal for the money.

Just got this and i'm real impressed. It's phenomenal for 80's metal/rock. More than enough gain and it has a lot more string clarity than i expected (not muddy). I own a lot of dirt pedals and this is easily my favorite one at this price point and size.

It's a great pedal for punk or anything agressive . I have my toggle set on classic on the pedal. It has the most bite of the three positions. I was jamming along with a Nirvana tune called School and it sounded very close to that tone. This pedals gives you a very dirty tone and feedback. A slight fuzz quality also but much more of a distortion pedal. The pedal is a one trick pony but it does hard grungy , punk and Black Sabbath tones very well. I bought directly for the purpose of playing Ramones , Black Flag , Nirvana , Misfits , Black Sabbath , Offspring covers . The tone fits well into that type of music while you still stand apart. The notes are very clear and distorted at the same time. It's definitely worth it , it will reside on my pedalboard for sure . People say it's a Sure Riot clone. I'm note sure , never tried one. All I know is the pedals lays out some killer , monster , nasty tone. To me it's not for 80's or glam metal. I'm not sure why it's said to be. I use my Donner Giant Metal for that and any other kind of metal. This is strictly a punk rock type pedal , maybe you can do old hard rock with it too like Rush , UFO and stuff. I don't at much in that genre to say but it would likely do the job depending on how you set it.

Cool general high gain digital distortion pedal. Best way I can describe it is that its very reminiscent of modern common combo amp distortion tones but with the ability to turn the gain up to 11 or 12. With that being the case I would recommend this for anyone stuck with a combo amp that doesn't support a channel footswitch since it can be made to sound similar to the onboard distortion channel on your nicer budget combo amps.

I just returned a high end boutique pedal for this Morper Yes the boutique sounds better and is built better but honestly not for an extra $ 200 bucks better ! This Morpher pedal get 5 stars for the price and what it does, and taking up less real estate , If any thing happens in the future like it stops working out of nowhere I will update my review but until then, its staying on my pedal board.

I love the crunch that this pedal delivers Great for hard rock & metal!!!! The only issue is when I use the Jet convolution Flanger W/the Distortion pedal. When I do that the the Distortion pedal goes into screech mode????

After using the Boss DS-1 distortion pedal for the last 25 years, I replaced it with this much louder and more versatile pedal. It’s about half the size and can only be powered by A/C adapter (not included), but if you’re sick of the muddy, low-volume DS-1, this is a great replacement for the price.

Pros: -built like a rock -great customer service -small and portable -sounds good when put on the right amp settings -fairly quiet Cons (you can't complain, it costs less than 50$): -doesn't sound incredible on it's own -gain doesn't go super high Overall, it's a pretty solid pedal. I love to plug it into a fender drive channel to get some crunchy 1967 cream-type sounds. Definitely recommend.

Okay, This little thing is, Amazing!!! I was just looking through Amazon for Guitar strings, and Came across this. So I bought it. I couldn't wait until the next day. So I got it, and hooked it up. And I had my Guitar volume set on 2. I turned everything on the amp to 5, all knobs. And the Donner Morpher hooked in. I hit the strings, And I Could not Believe the Power. I mean Real Cutting Power. If you have a Electric Guitar with just a amp. Believe me. You will not believe how much better the sound is. How Donner can sell something like this for like $35.00. Also I hooked it up to my small box amp, it was Unreal. I'm no Expert at all. But I can work the neck, if you see the picture of my Guitar, And Yes this is a 1957 Gibson Les Paul with the Roaring P 90 pickups. Only 301 were made in 1957 with the P 90 pickups, and one was a Left hander. I will write a Very good report on Amazon. I will be buying something to go along with the Morpher, But I don't know what? I adore this pedal! I've been playing guitar for 20 years and just recently got into 80s style shredding for fun. I needed a distortion pedal to sculpt the right tone & dynamics, and this little guy delivered. My overdrive pedals weren't enough, & I wasn't quite getting the goods from dirty amp settings. Paired with a compressor this makes pinch harmonics soar! I'm like a kid who can't stop popping the squealies! You can get a decent range of distortion sounds that are great for 80s style pop rock solos & grit. I play mainly humbuckers & P90s. This pedal can get noisy on my tube amps, and that's common with distortion. I'm using a Decimator II G String with it to gate/wipe the noise. As soon as I got it I set up a quick mini board with it, and I've been having a blast with it. It allows me to easily get sounds & dynamics I was working hard to get before.
I'm very happy with my purchase of this pedal. It serves my needs very well.

I saw some less than flattering reviews while deciding whether or not to buy it, but I realized long ago that not every guitarist is looking for the same thing, play the same or have the same equipment. I bought it and it gave me a different tone & sound . I absolutely love it because it gave me what I was looking for, I have 2 other distortion pedals that can't sound like this one. It's a small package but packs a huge wallop, it's diffinately a keeper for me. I was skeptical at first because of its size. But reviews are individual opinions by others guitarist that may play a totally different genre & style and doesn't necessarily reflect the usefulness of this pedal to others.

I have owned many guitar effects pedals representing several popular brands. I felt I was taking a chance with Donner. I purchased a few other Donner items and was fairly impressed so after reading many reviews and videos regarding this product, my hope was that this would also fall in line with what I was reading. I also had reduced space and wanted to minimize my effects track. As soon as I plugged in this small pedal, I was impressed. There is a variety of effects in the range this pedal presents. If for some reason this pedal would die, I would certainly purchase it again. Don't think that because of its small size and low price tag, there's a small sound and shortness of quality. Not the case here. You won't go wrong with this pedal. I now own several Donner products and am not disappointed.
