Bought it for bass, took a chance. Not too bad for $29.99. Have to boost the treble on the axe for the effect to kick in. Wish the effect was more consistent. Probably works better on guitar.
Love this pedal. Whether it's used with high tones or low tones, the result is great.
One problem.....the writing for the knob labels is TOO SMALL.
Its TINY and not easy to see to set up, especially not quickly, mid play.
Why doesn't your engineer see that? Don't they actually play?
Great pedal with fast shipping! I was shocked how great this pedal turned out to be. Showed up in less than a week too.
No tracking information accessible. Pedal works well for auto wah ,would recommend for purchase.
I have purchased three pedals from Donner. The flanger and the triple effect (chorus, delay, distortion) and they are fabulous. Sound great and priced very reasonably. The auto wah is nice but not as impressive. Still a cool pedal for the money but a narrow range of sounds that are more like a mellow phaser with a little wah overtone. It’s ok. Not up to the high standards of the first two I got tho.
My first dynamic wah pedal and I love it. I highly recommended.
Awesome effects in a most desirable small package..
Actually gives a pretty good Grateful Dead Vibe. Great effect for the price.
Sehr dezentes, angenehmes Wah!
Nice pedal at a great price. Tons of fun.
Great pedal for the price!
I purchased the Dynamic Wah pedal and had a chance to try it out this morning. On the bridge humbucker on my Gretsch Streamliner guitar, it really makes an impact. If I play any notes on the thin E string or B string, it wahs with such intensity that it is literally an immediate attention-getter. I look forward to hearing all the variations that I will be able to produce.
I wanted a pedal that gave me the Jerry Garcia envelope sound and this does it! Perfect for Fire on the Mountain. Versatile and sweet sounding.
This pedal works great. For the price it can do a lot. I can't say it is as good or close to a mutron or EHX Qtron but to me this pedal is awesome. A lot of fun to use and i can get some great sounds from it. I would recommend.
Getting crazy with the auto wah. Oh yes Bringing back the 70’s in a big way. Good sound Great price Nice addition for that tweak on your own personal sound.
Well built but not the pedal I hoped it would be alters sound but not the sound of a wah pedal. I have not had it long enough to determine what songs and how I will use it
Good sound. Nice adjustability
I was looking for an auto wah pedal for the Dani California solo. Since I don’t use the wah in hardly any other songs I wanted a budget pedal that will do it’s job. I checked out this pedal demo on YouTube and was mighty impressed. I was pleasantly surprised. OK not surprised. I was pleasantly shocked. This along with the Doner Fuzz pedal that I also bought prices to be the winning formula for that last 16 bars of the lead solo. On a closing note, now I wonder why boutique pedal makers charge SO MUCH MONEY .
Really easy to use and works great
I'm very much digging the Donner Dynamic Wah Mini Auto Wah Pedal!
It has a subtle envelope that lets my tone come through and at the same time gives me the Wah that I'm looking for!
I absolutely recommend it!
These pedals are solid and sound great. At this price point you can’t go wrong. I have a couple Donner Pedals on my board.
Great build quality as always from these Donner mini pedals. I have several and have never been disappointed. The colour and graphics here are a step up from their previous designs, very decent and not as cheap looking as some of the older designs. Nice packaging too, even a couple of stickers thrown in - it's just a small thing but it definitely creates a good impression. Sonically the pedal exceeded my expectations and performs great, responds well to picking dynamics and the filter sounds good. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that they haven't used a super-bright blue LED like on so many cheap (and some expensive) pedals. In summary, I'm really happy with it especially at this price point. I wouldn't upgrade this to something more expensive, this does exactly what I wanted it to.
Smooth auto setting.
Fun little pedal
Although it took a while (popular item) to receive it was well worth the wait. Great solid construction and nice sound .
It's a great addition to any board, especially if you like to play funk. I use it on guitar and bass. Combined with fuzz make a nice synth like tone out played with a clean tone gives you a classic 70's quack.
nice and subtle not too crazy like some pedals. It blend beautifully in a mix as well.
I am enjoying this pedal tremendously. Even my 6 yr old daughter came in the music room and said “ I love that it sounds like a duck daddy!”
this is a great pedal! sutle but powerful. does exactly as advertised and then some.signal is sharper, crisper, louder, even clearer.it is built great and also looks realy good. has a wiiiiiiiiide range of effect. i keep everything at 12:00 and just enjoy the quality of the tone i get. i now have several donner pedals ,and can see clearly that this is a good company. all of mine are A+ or better! got a new one coming in the box tommorow , and cant hardly wait. anywhoo, if you want hightech , touch sensitive, very quiet(no bad noise whatsoever!) and obedient wah........... this is it. the effect realy does blend rapid notes beautifuly. the wah effect does not overpower. it just kicks in harmonics and adds a flair of wah. at the price i paid i am very happy. its perfect for my style while being very precice and controlable. i am a huge fan of donner now and would tell any 35+year player to give this company a try. 3 pedals later and 1buknchange and ived uped my whole game. thanks donner for providing pro quality effects at budget prices! hurry up.......................get one before there gone.
This thing is just so fun to play with. Instant funk switch with super versatile settings. Definitely put it first in the chain, and for a totally different brand of fun, throw in some distortion after it and a chorus at the end. Nice and quiet too. My only complaint is the tiny knobs kind of suck to adjust, but I'm not sure how else you'd physically be able to fit 4 control pots on a mini pedal, and I prefer a pedal this size to something that takes up more space on the board. Pleasantly surprised by the "budget" offerings from Donner, this pedal in particular.
I really like the Donner Auto Wah. Has a good range of sound possibilities. Small and compact. I am finding that the quality on these pedals far exceed the price. I will be buying more.
Does what it said it would do. Great bang for the buck from this little, inexpensive pedal. I would buy products from this company again.
The package arrived quickly.
The package fits in a regular mailbox with USPS delivering, so no waiting around for other mail carriers.
Opened up the box -first reaction the pedal is small "mini" as they claim.
But it feels pretty solid.
The pedal housing is metal.
Sounds great plugged in to my Peavey Deuce. Variable speeds and percentage of how much wah you want are easily dialed in.
Does what it's supposed to do.
5 stars and a bucket of chicken!
Great pedal I like the sound and how it responds when the strings on my guitar are plucked.
Excellent auto wah mini pedal. Nice quack-y sound.
This pedal is so cool needed to get Jerry Garcia’s tone this did it!!
So far I like it has a good sound to it.
This is a great auto wah pedal, especially for the price. It has a good range of sounds and for an effect I use fairly sparingly the size is a really nice feature.
Quiet operation, great effect, great price and arrived early!
very versatile, easy to adjust. Good quality well built and excellent sound and low noise.
For the great price, you cannot do better. Sounds good!
This thing rocks! Love the tone and the small footprint.
Here is a new project guitar body that I wanted to use for reference, showing the actual size of this fabulous WAH pedal by DONNER. The sound compares with more expensive pedals and as seen, takes up a lot less space than most bargain pedals on my board!
Donner makes quality pedals that deliver, at a resonable price!
While I an still learning how to make the best use of it, it's been lots of fun. I am very pleased with the purchase.
This pedal is a great value - it does everything you would want an auto-wah or envelope follower to do, with plenty of adjustability. Everything from subtle to extreme shaping of the sound is possible. The unit seems to be well-constructed, works great on standard guitar 9V power supplies, and seems to be fairly quiet in operation. I'm quite pleased with it!
Love this pedal! Great sounds and easy to use!
It's a great auto Wah. The more treble and pick attack you give the greater the Wah effect. It's very easy to use. It's an amazing pedal for the money!
This is a good, inexpensive pedal. I hesitate to call it cheap, because it actually seems to be of better quality than I was expecting. The enclosure is metal, not plastic, and the knobs fell ok, even if they are very small. I was looking for an auto wah with a small footprint for my B-board. This fits perfectly and works pretty well. Definitely depends on which guitar I am using with it, and the settings. The real value will become clear if this budget pedal survives for more than a couple of weeks. If it proves to be durable, then it deserves 5 stars.
This auto wah is very cool, has a lot of control! And the price!!!
This is a great sounding wah pedal at an even greater price. The settings give you a lot of options and it works very well with tube amps
This pedal was everything I expected. Quality product. I would give this pedal a thumbs up.
The pedal works great. It took some time to find the right settings, but once I did, I was very happy with it.
I recently sold an Electro-harmonix Q-tron that I wasn't using very much and had no intention of replacing it. I stumbled across this and it was cheap enough that I figured it would be worth trying since I had a Donner noise gate pedal that I liked. So far I'm impressed. I'm not sure I'd put this on a pedal board for live performances, but for a home setup it's fun. Other reviewers complain that it wasn't sound like a "wah" pedal, but for me it is a solid replacement for the Q-tron. It can sound dull if you've got it dialed in wrong, but the Q-tron would too. I would recommend this for anyone who wants a cheap auto-wah just to see what it's about. You can always upgrade later.
Great little pedal
Has a lot of good features and it's well built.
I really like buying from this site. The prices are the best on the internet with free shipping and excellent customer service. I highly recommend buying direct for the best deals.
Works well with my bass. Good value.
This unit is ok. I thought there would be more bend out of the over all sound , similar to a cry baby wah.
I love this auto wah, it work like it should it you’re running you source into a compressor first! The the true metal pedal from Donner add on to the out put of the auto wah makes some real great heavy metal tones! These pedals are great for the price
I am still experimenting with it. It's not like my pedals, i.e. Hendrix Cry Baby. It can be fixated to your liking. That's the part I am still working it.
Funky little pedal.
Great value, slim and sounds awesome.
This auto wah is great for adding a lil spice to your sound. I'm a bass player and it gives it a nice tone.
This pedal is sort of a one trick pony: the auto-wah thing. It has enough adjustments that you should be able to dial in the auto-burp per note. Don't compare it to a wah wah. It probably won't earn a spot on a crowded pedal board but it's cheap enough to have in the studio for the thing it does.
For the money is does the job for sure.
I love this pedal. I love it when tones or pedals inspire me to make up new riffs. This one did that for me. Great quality mini pedal! I'm really digging these mini pedals.
Love it! Sounds great!
Not complicated to hone in on a specific way tone. Great range.
Good versatile pedal. Still working on dialing in the perfect amount of wah...my main issue is with the bottom surface of the pedal. Whatever kin of rubber or surface they used my velcro adhesive for my pedalboard will not stick to the bottom of the pedal, therefore the pedal will not stick to my board.
It does the job. It is a bit difficult to get a subtle wah sound, it changes quickly from very light to very heavy. Not much in between. But for the price it's hard to beat.
Pretty good for the price can’t complain you get what you pay for but overall I’m pleased
Barely takes up any space on your pedal board. This auto-wah (envelope filter, really), does exactly what it supposed to and is a fun little pedal to play with. It did what I needed it to for a specific song I was working on. It’ll never replace a “real” way pedal, but it certainly has its place on your board.
Great pedal for the money, does what it's supposed to do.Well built and small.
Came in a nice box. Hefty and feel very sturdy. Doesnt affect tone and honestly is VERY WORTH IT. Dont have space for a wah. Honestly this really does the job If you're not obsessed with too much control.
Got this autowah after reading a few reviewes.
Folks, this little number rocks! It outperforms my old Ibanez envelope filter, and has more tonal options. Once I figured out the setting parameters, I was able to get a range of groovy sounds, and especially that "Jerry" pop, a la "Fire on the Mountain"
Douglas J. Gualtieri
Pretty decent autowah, certainly for the price and size. Replaced my Boss AW2, which was failing. Very easy to dial in.
The Dynamic Wah has a delicious sound, I like how controllable it is. Perfect for funky playing
This pedal is awesome. More then what i was expecting.
I'll send a photo on the next review. The pedals are great I'm still messing with the settings trying to pull exactly what i want out of them. I'll let you know. So far I'm pleased with the product.
Awesome guitar pedal. Sounds great!
JOEL C OCONNOR
Cool wah! Definitely worth the price.
This is a great sounding little Wah pedal for the money. Has plenty of depth and versatility. I enjoy it with a little distortion in the mix.
Richard C Smith Jr
I couldn't believe the sounds I can get for a pedal under $40.00! It sounds every bit as good as my DOD Envelope Filter I have on my main pedalboard!
I guess I didn’t read that it didn’t come with a power source. Other else than that it works great.
John T. Barnett
This really recreates the effects of having a traditional wah (which I also have), if you don’t want to put in the footwork
At this price it really is a value for your money. Its fun to add to give a bass line that little spice it may need.
Works as advertised. We really like this peddle.
It's a great sounding auto-wah with a lot of range for tweaking your sound. Not quite enough low end for use with bass, but excellent for funky guitar!
It is a good pedal if you are looking for an auto-wah, but it is a good idea to do some research first so you know what you are getting. This pedal will need some tweaking to get the sound you are looking for. An auto-wah will give you a different result than a standard Wah pedal, as it will respond more to your pick attack than manually controlled by rocking the pedal. The parameters are all easy to control. The pedal itself is well-built, and is a great value for the price. Definitely recommend if you are thinking about an auto-Wah.
Works well, does what it should.
For the price point you can’t go wrong. Very well made. And sounds great. Would definitely buy another Donner pedal.
I always had trouble getting the sound I wanted with a wah wah pedal, just couldn't coordinate my foot with my picking or strumming. The Donner Mini Auto Wah Guitar Effect Pedal helped me get the sound I was looking for.
I use it for a bass and it works very well. Compact, feels sturdy..Great for the price.
Donner Party of 4
Donner makes some surprising good pedals for what they cost. Solid metal chassis, decent switches and jacks, and usable sounds. At this price you can't expect a boutique pedal, but for practices and bar gigs a cheap, small and useful pedal is the best you could ask for!
This pedal delivers true wah without using a pedal. Recommend!
For the price it's a pretty good pedal. Not too much control over how much "wah" it produces, but for my needs, it's enough.
