Great uke at an amazing price

My daughter liked the Donner Tenor Uke I have and wanted to learn at the same time as my Grandaughter who has a different brand named uke so I purchased this Uke kit and sent it to her. She is happy with it and my Granddaughter now wants to trade with her so she can have the Donner brand uke. Hmmm. Christmas is coming!

I currently own 6 ukuleles. Though far from my most expensive, this has become my go to uke. I love the "armrest" and built in tuner. I hate glossy finishes. This one has a mat finish with just a tough of polish to make everything smooth. I haven't played amplified a lot yet, but have my Donner amp sitting on my desk with a wireless receiver plugged into it. Again, I love this uke!

I had gotten the Donner concert Ukulele and really liked it. Then decided I wanted to try a tenor. Because the quality of the concert Ukulele I had no problem going back to Donner. I was not disappointed, good quality and sound and the price was great to. I haven't been able to try out the pre Amp but will a soon as I get me an Amp. The extras are great but I really like the gig bag. I would highly recommend this, great product at a great price.

This is a very nice, affordable, electric tenor ukulele. Natural finish with a solid mahogany top & built in electronics with a 3 band graphic equalizer & tuner! Real bone nut and saddle which is very nice at this price point. 18:1 tuning machines make tuning easy and help keep the ukulele in tune. Sounds great playing acoustically or plugged in to an amp. Very warm & inviting sound. Comes complete with a nice gig bag, extra strings, picks & a strap. Free lessons to get you started. Just an all around fun, affordable, quality instrument by Donner.

I've been a ukeist for 10 years and have owned and played lots of ukes...
I bought this thinking I would probably have to return it...but it's really fun to play, easy to carry around and the built-in tuner rocks.

I like the look and sound of this instrument.

Daughter wanted a tenor ukulele. She already had a concert size. She prefers the tenor over the concert. Nice sound!

As a guitar player this is fun to pick up and play. It sounds nice, and after stretching the strings for a few days stays in tune. For my girls it has been easy for them to learn and they have fun. I think this one is better than the convert size, but that might be more of a personal preference.

I am just earning how to play the Ukulele and I am having a lot of fun with this one. It sounds great and it is very easy to tune. The electronic tuner on the side works very well and is accurate with my other tuning methods. I like the feel of it and it sits comfortably while I play. Overall great buy!

This thing is great. It’s beautiful, it’s brilliantly ergonomic, it’s just all around great. The tone is warm, plays smooth on the fretboard. If I had paid more for it, I would have still considered it worth it!
Alice
Got this for my daughter as she is teaching herself to play. Great for beginners. And decent price.

Very surprised with this uke. Happy so far...Need to change the strings right away. Better than a store bought uke off the shelf. Good quality for the money.

Beautiful sound that resonates throughout any house or studio. Fine work of art!

I love the ukulele because it's easy to learn and fun to play. Plugging this electric one into an amp makes the ukulele rock like never before.

My daughter truly enjoys this. She uses it for school and it’s been a good purchase.

Looks good, plays good, feels good. Built in tuner & EQ suits this ukulele perfectly. DONNER didn't leave anything to chance. It is quality all the way. I recommend this for anyone who wants a truly great ukulele experience. It's something to look forward to for the rest of your life. Thank you DONNER.

The fact that this ukulele is as amazing at it is at such a low price point is incredible. It has a warm, rich sound with great projection and is comfortable to play. The built in tuner is great and the EQ and free strap are super convenient.

Great quality! Holds tune well. Nicely crafted.

This ukulele sounds good, and it's very well constructed. I like the fact that it has a built in preamp and tuner, and the tuner works very well. Also it came with a strap, picks, gig bag and an extra string set. I recorded the ukulele plugged straight to the input of my interface and you can get a very good sound direct. The gig bag is good quality and feels very sturdy. I think overall it's a great value! Check out the video to get an idea of the sound you can get with this uke.

I've been playing uke for over 4 years, have a dozen ukes ranging from $350 to $1,350, so I think I know a little about these instruments. This Donner Tenor acoustic/electric is an amazing deal. It looks good, and sounds terrific. Solid mahogany top, excellent fluorcarbon strings (I was almost certain I would replace them immediately--nope!) , very smooth closed tuners, nice rosewood fingerboard and bridge, with easy notched string replacement. The strings settled in within two days, and I've been comparing it to my higher end ukes--pretty darn good in comparison. Nice 1 1/2" nut, giving you easier playability to chord shapes. BTW, the trend is to this slightly wider nut by most good manufacturers. I was hoping this was the case with the donner. Case? Well, not exactly, but a serviceable (not cheesy) gig bag comes with the package, along with an extra set of strings, and nice strap to go on the installed strap buttons, a tuner, two batteries for the uke's pickup system, and one for the tuner--what a deal! Picks too, but who cares. The setup is about as good as it gets, the action for me right out the box was perfect. On checking intonation with an electronic tuner--mighty good! This uke is plenty loud with excellent sustain when playing acoustically. I cannot get over how good the uke is, and the goodies are worth at least $50 if priced separately. So, how do they do it? I have no clue! All I do know is this: get this deal while you can. Wondering about the sound when amped? Just as good as the acoustic mode. This, of course, has a lot to do with the quality of the equipment you use. No, I was not paid for this review, it's just that when I find something worth spreading the word about, I'll do it. $76.00? Are you kidding me?
