I was Actually very impressed with the speed in which my order was delivered.. UNFORTUNATELY I try to buy American and when I
found I was contributing to the communist society of China I was very disappointed....

These drums are great. I purchased for my son and he brought them to his music class and keeps forgetting to bring them home. The teacher says they are high quality, they are not a toy but a real instrument.

My mother lives with my husband and I and she has always wanted a house ful of instruments. I bought this bingo because she loves such instruments. And... she loves it!!

I'm very satisfied your product. These bongo are the real thing. I play congas I haven't played bongo 's since 1975.and the sound and workmanship are great.

Those are real double rim bongos. The natural wood and real skin heads give them a warm and resonant tone. One of my skins has a slight blemish, I guess it's due to using natural materials instead of man-made, but it doesn't affect the sound. I use mine to go play with friends, and the carrying case is great, especially because carrying the bongos in the rain could affect the skins and the tuning.
The bongos are playable out of the box (video) but most people would prefer to have a higher tone: simply use the wrench provided to turn the bolts at the bottom. Turn each bolt 1/4 turn, then decide if you like the sound. or repeat tightening the bolts until you like it. If you use YouTube videos to learn how to play, try to tune to roughly the same tone as in the video, it helps! You may hear some creaking, but it's natural when using natural materials, don't be scared to play with the tuning. The wrench comes with a fabric bag to prevent it from banging around when carrying the bongos, which is a nice touch.
Fun fact: the smaller drum is called the "macho" (male), and the larger drum is called the "hembra" (female). Play with the bongo between your legs, with the macho on the left.
My community has "drum circles" where random people com with their percussion instruments and play together. Great to learn about all kind of rhythms. The bongos are a great instrument for this because they are easily portable and are easy for beginners: at first just do simple slaps of the drum (maybe copying someone else's main beat), but as you become more confident you can use thumb and fingertip strikes ans use both drums as you learn more complex patterns.

I wanted to have drums for drum circles, so I got these...
They're a good size (see pics) and I like that they come with a carrying case I can keep them in. They also come with a tool to tighten them or loosen them but I haven't used it.
I wrote my name and some positive phrases on the top of it with a Sharpie and blended well with the logo. I like it. It looks sturdy and the sound, the more I play with it the more it sounds like bongos (I'm new to this instrument :) Overall, a good purchase, I'm happy with it.
p.s. the top, I guess it's real animal skin so it's not perfectly white.

I am a semi professional musician and bought these to learn how to play the bongos. These bongos look really good, a rich dark brown, with shiny chrome, and sound good too. They were tuned out of the box. I like the unfinished natural look of the skins. They come with a spanner to re-tune and a case. I plan to use these at a gig soon and will be buying another pair for the kids school music program.

These bongos seem to have great craftsmanship for beginners. They sound great, they are made of wood and genuine animal hide. There were decals on the ropes that peeled off after some use. The bongos are easy to tune and come with a small wrench and carrying bag. They seem to be a great value for money spent.

We love it! Great sound, well constructed it will last for generations.

Great sound quality and craftsmanship!

Very nice quality set. Far superior to my 60 year old set, which is just wood and skin. I've enjoyed the playing so far, and it's therapy for my hands.

I love it, I'm drawn to it daily! It's spiritual for me.

This bongo set is really well made with quality materials. Bought this for my son and he loved it. Great sound too...

These are my 3rd bongo drums I've ever owned, and are reminders of my first set that were actually damaged in a fire. The second set was purchased a year ago, and were just a problem immediately out of the box, but I felt I could look beyond the poor build quality until it developed a rip on the rim portion of the head only after a few hours of ownership. So for that reason, I waited to speak on these until I knew for sure that I was happy. Before I did ANYTHING out of the box, because I didn't know where and in what exact humidity level these were stored, including whether the heads where conditioned-- I did put a little lanolin on all the areas of tension around the rim, and slowly hand tightened it in a cross pattern in small increments. After doing this for about 48 hours in a non arid environment, I was pretty confident in the tensile strength of the hide, hoping I wouldn't have to consider getting a new one. Although it's fairly easy to replace on these, I didn't want to take that chance...Both the macho and hembra were very easy to find and maintain tuning an octave apart, and I'm extremely happy with this set at such a reasonable price point.

Nice bongos my uncle & sister loves them great service thanks

I ordered this bango for my son and he really enjoys playing. It comes with a tightening tool that is really good to have. The sound is clear and it is sturdy that does not shake a lot when playing. The bag makes it portable. Overall, worth for my kid.

I am hanging up and decorating our guest bedroom with my guitars that I’m recently learning how to play and to add to the music theme, I wanted to display these bongos on the bookshelf and the natural wood finish matches nicely with our decor. The wood is beautifully polished and does not have any sharp edges that will scratch your hands or fingers. These bongo drums comes in two sizes: 6 and 7 inches and the drumhead is made of sheepskin. This also comes with a bongo drum tuning wrench. Simply unscrew the bottom rubber drum leg and use the tuning wrench to adjust the screw and adjust the drum tone and sound. The tone should be bright and crisp.
I’ve always wanted to play bongos as well because there’s a song that my husband and I like to joke along with that goes “I don't want to work. I want to bang on the drum all day.” This is what I want to do and when I am ready to retire, I will be banging on my bongos happily. Now I can bang on my bongos even before retirement and it’s a good stress reliever! As an added bonus, this comes with a carrying case that can be used for storage or to easily transport this instrument.

My bongos arrived in perfect shape thanks to the thick-walled cardboard packaging, and the soft-sided case. The first thing that struck me was how heavy and solid the drums are - these are in another league from the cheap bongos I have played at friends’ houses. This is my second Eastar purchase, and have been pleasantly surprised at the quality for their prices.
The sidewalls are very substantial wood, and the leather drum heads are nice and thick - the whole set has the feel of real “quality”. As other reviewers have noted, there is an odor to the bongos but this is due to their construction of wood and leather - not synthetic materials. I did not find the smell offensive, and it dissipated quickly. Also, some reviewers remarked about the appearance of the skins not being uniform, but please keep in mind that these are natural hides and not tanned to give a uniform appearance. They will likely soon become discolored with a bit of playing, anyway.
My bongos arrived tuned uniformly, with the note ringing the same all around the rim of the heads. I re-tuned for my own preference (there are a lot of videos online describing how to tune, and then detune them for storage). A wrench is included with this kit for tuning, and is much appreciated.
I give two thumbs-up to this set! For an affordable price, you get a “real” set of bongos, wrench, and carrying case (which includes a strap).

My son is an instrumental music major and specializes in percussion. I got him these quality bongos. They are made of thick wood and sturdy metal. The tone is really nice when played. The bongos come in a nice zippered case. The case has a handle for easy transport. My son says the set is super easy to play.

I bought this for my husband and he loved it. If you love bongos this good value for money. Within 3 days we received it.

No damage. Very durable.

Nice sound that can be adjusted by tightening of loosening bolts. Good for beginners and very well crafted. Great value for the money and would recommend for kids and adults.

I bought this drum for relaxation and also to drum with my 79 year old mom who has dementia as it is good for her brain. This is an affordable and great looking drum that comes with a soft shell zippered cover. I was definitely happy with my purchase.

These are great fun. A well made entry level set of bongos. Sounds good looks good. A real musical instrument, not a toy.
I bought 2 sets, one for myself and one as a gift for my father. Great value. Perfect for the hobby musician.

These drums were a family Christmas gift. My family and I have enjoyed “playing the songs in our heart” each morning. They seem to be durable for the beginners in our family, who are learning to be gentle with musical instruments.
However for the price, I would have appreciated a specific drum utensil. They are a bit too tightly stretched to be used for organic hand drumming.
I would recommend for purchase to family and friends. However, do not feel they would meet my needs of my therapy practice. As an art therapist, these would not meet my needs to be implemented for expressive sound/movement therapy and/or trauma releasing hand drumming. The sound is flat, at this point.
Hopefully, they will loosen up with use. I will write an update, if this negative observation changes.

For a good price, these are pretty good. I actually really like the crisp, cutting sound. They mix well in a drum circle, and the case is a nice feature.

Love this product. What i like the most as beginner is no sharp edges. This is very important for me. Safe if i make any wrong hand movements. What surprise me is how crisp the sound is. This product is also very light and not that big, come with bag so easy to bring everywhere. Glad with my decision to get this product.

Was asked to get bingos by 6 year old grand. Too big for him. But great quality and nice carrying bag. He may be able to use as he grows.

These are the greatest bongos ever made by man. If I could preserve one human artifact in the event of a mass extinction event, it would be these bongos. I think they tell the story of the human race more than anything that has ever been created

Exactly what I wanted to play along with my daughter and her ukulele.

This is a great set for someone who is just starting to play. I bought these for my husband who likes to play along to Caribbean music. They are well built and the carrying case is ideal if you want to take them to a drum circle on the beach. Good value for the price.

My 8 years old daughter wanted to learn drum (any kind), I didn't want to get her a full set of drums, for space reason and she may not want it after a week, so I brought this bongo drum for her instead to learn basic rhythms, and she hasn't put it down ever since. She is learning on her own from youtube videos. If she get more advance I may get her a full set of drums in the future.
The quality of this bongo drum exceeded my expectations. Great buy for intro to percussion instrument. And the finish is nice too, also come in a nice black carrying bag.
