The Donner drum practice pad and stand is perfect. It height adjustable and holds the included wooden practice pad with 2 rubber contact surfaces. The stick rebound is natural compared to my snare. Its very easy to take apart and easily fits into the included spacious backpack bag. Buy one, you will not be disappointed.

I have not received my order it's been at least two weeks. I'm even getting emails about writing a review on my order. I can't write a review cause I haven't received my order yet. There doesn't seem to be any customer service number, I can't get a hold of anyone that would know anything about my order. This is super frustrating. I need help with this issue ,but no help yet. I would recommend skipping ordering anything from donner ,there shipping sucks and there customer service sucks as well.

My son has been wanting to learn drums, but we needed a quieter start. This works in compact areas. Apparently 8 inch is enough and the stand is unnecessary for beginners. It gives him room to develop more skills and youtube offers lessons on how to start.

I was a professional drummer years ago, just bought the Donner drum pad, stand, sticks
and bag for my grandson who wants to learn. After having shopped for these at local music stores at much higher prices, I found the Donner package price to be much more reasonable. They shipped it immediately and I got it on time with no further problems.
My grandson loves it and I'm hoping he will be inspired to continue.

Got it today! The packaging was excellent! The box it came in was very strong, no way it could be damaged (unless it was intended by someone) everything was was new and in great condition! The bag it’s self is more then I could ask for, it’s a very good bag! It has velcro on the front and Velcro on the back of the drum pad bag so that it will not flop around or sway up-and-down to make it hard to carry for my 10-year-old. Overall very pleased!

Great starter pack for my son. He has a genuine interest in drums and wanted a set. But, I want him to start with the fundamentals as a beginner and this setup provides it all. Good basics book, the pad, and multiple sticks for me to practice with him.

Other than the Miner rips tears it looks good package was destroyed look like some one ran through it and tried to put it back in one piece. But nonetheless it’s still a great product I would buy from them again

Perfect height for teaching my son rudiments! Also the pad fits perfect on top of an actual snare drum for when he wants to sit and play. Bag holds everything perfectly and seems durable. Sticks are perfectly balanced and great for beginners. Highly recommended if you want to provide a quiet alternative that is easy to train on!

This is such an amazing and easily transportable practice drum set. My grandson has just started band/music at school and everything fits neatly and easily into the carrying bag. It has shoulder handles like a back pack, and is easy for him to carry to class, and there is a luggage type handle at top to help maneuver it in and out of the car. It is a little weighty, but that is because it is good quality and not cheaply made. Definitely a great purchase and just what the teacher advised for him.

Brought for a friend i am teaching. I was very impressed with the speed of delivery, the quality of everything in the box but if you are buying this the keep the sticks as spare and get some that feel right to you. Any music shop with them will help you if you ask.
The snare stand is exactly what you would expect, nothing loose and made from decent materials
The pad is better than expected with the foam back for use out of the snare stand
The sticks are okay, better than the ones that came with my own pad but you don't but it for the sticks

Pad: decent. The wood it's on is kinda light and not that dense and there was obvious glue run off from when the pad was glued to the wood. Still decent though
Stand: good. No problems with it.
Carrying bag: good. No problems with it.

This thing works great and it adjustable to many different heights depending on what you're sitting on so you get the perfect height. Appears to be of great quality.

I know nothing of drumming, but I enjoy music. I play a bit of piano, am learning the guitar, and figured, why not try drums as well. This little item seems to satisfy my curiosity and drive to learn. It's not like waving a pencil or slapping your leg along with a song. You got real drum sticks to handle, a standard pad to beat, a stand to hold it firmly--and all of a sudden, I'm following along on youtube beginner videos on drumming! Seems reliable, hopefully will last for a good while, offers an opportunity to learn an instrument without investing in an expensive kit. Might be the way to go for anyone interested in checking out drums seriously. As for this particular item, I'd buy it again...in a drumbeat!

As someone who has just started with drums (and lives in a condo where a drumkit or any musical instruments are not allowed), I had to get a practice pad.
This one from Donner has been a great purchase, given:
- It is solidly built, I am very impressed with how easy was to assemble the stand and adjust it, and the 3 rubber feet provides a firm grip to the floor
- the well-built bag is light, sturdy and easy to take to my drum classes. Worth mentioning is that it has an internal division, easy to store the stand, drumsticks and other stuff
- the rubber plate on the top has a good feeling when you hit it, which is really important (otherwise I would be using my desk :))
- the 3 pairs of 5A drumsticks (yes, THREE!) was a very nice surprise: they are light and well manufactured. The fact that they come in a velvet bag is a nice finishing touch
The only suggestion I would make to Donner is to replace one 5A pair with a 5B, to give students and additional choice of drumsticks.
I'm very happy with this purchase - I tested other practice pads in my drumming school and they just don't measure up to this one from Donner - some are flimsy, or just have a weird feeling when you hit them.
