It is sturdy enough for my guitar playing and the light works well and it folds up to be carried with guitar cases and other music.
A friend that we play music together bought a new house. I bought 2 of these stands for them so that when we get together we can read music together. He loved the gift and it was not too expesive. This one is the best of about seven other stands I have purchased in the past.
The music clamps that keep the music from blowing away work better than any of the other stands I've tried. These let us put a sheet or a book flat on the music ledge. All of the others, the pivot point for the music wind holder caused the music sheets or books to tip and fall off of the music ledge.
Also the stand sets up very quickly and securely: great job, highly recommended. I spent several years building music stands out of aluminum tubing. while they are a bit lighter, they cost $100 each and take some time to fabricate. So these stands are good.

I started using a chromebook for my gigs. I needed a stand that was portable but sturdy. This one fits the bill perfectly. Easy to carry with added clips that hold my computer in place while I play. I am very pleased.

Love the versatility and the 3 clips for holding multiple sheets/books. Being able to utilize the short neck piece like a pop socket for table top use is great also. Height adjustment is excellent I am 6'1” and it's a great fit.

I started playing the saxophone at age 75. I now am 79 and plan to play until the day I die, which I anticipate will not be for several decades. I hope to get really good at it by then. In the meantime, I have been playing on my late son Sean's saxophone, which he had since 3rd grade until the day he died in 2016. The music stands I have been using are the popsicle style kind picked up at thrift stores. My new Donner music stand is my first major musical purchase, and I love it. I feel like a real musician when I use it. I've been attending an adult band camp in Maine each August, and they always ask us to bring a music stand if possible. Now that I have a Donner music stand, which is portable and has a carrying case, I can do that. I'm so psyched!!!!!

Very happy with the music stand. For some reason it did not come with installation instructions. No problem as it is easy to assemble. Wondering how long the battery for the light needs to be charged? I charged it for the better part of a day. Hope the battery doesn't develop memory.

One of the problems with music stands they are either too flimsy to hold I-pads or notebooks. Then when you use a more stable stand it is usually heavy, and bulky. This Donner stand is compact, sturdy and easy to carry and assemble. This unit also comes with some convenient extras. Unit is perfect for gigs and open mics. Very satisfied

The music stand is fairly stable. Made out of seemingly good material. The tree itself is a little bit flimsy but sufficient to hold a light book. We like it it’s mobile I love the carrying bags that comes with makes life very convenient

It's a bit flimsy when extended up around 4ft. The table Mount Stand is Nice.
Also the Dual Lights and the Page Holder for your Sheet Music.. You can see your Music and it won't blow away in case your playing outside and it's windy

They really thought of everything with this one. Even the bolts that some people complained about were a non-issue for us when holding the music book. The clips and anchors did the trick in holding the pages open, and the lights and clip on top were an added bonus.
Most importantly, the lack of metal fold-out pieces sticking out and potentially poking someone or something were a must-have for us, as well as the quickness of setup. This is obviously not as compact or light as other folding stands, but the practicality, ease of function, and look make up for that. Well worth the price.

Metal Music Stand? Not.
This Music Stand is made out of metal. Actually, this is not true. Mainly, the top part where the sheet music is placed is made out of plastic. But, the quality is good. It is suitable for me and my daughter. We can play violins together.
