This is a great Keyboard!

This piano is by far the best bang for your buck that you can hope to get. The keys are fully weighted and feel just as good as a traditional piano. The sensitivity of the keys is also great. Most important in a digital piano is the sound. The sound is crisp and pure and really sounds very close to that of a traditional piano. I'm very happy with my purchase. This piano will allow me to continue playing while I am away at medical school.

This keyboard sounds amazing and has 4 wonderful speakers and its just very loud and amazing for anyone.

I recently purchased a Donner DEP-20 keyboard. I am extremely impressed by the tones, keyboard feel and sound. With out a doubt, this is the best 88 weighted keyboard under $400 on the market today!!
Kenneth T.
This keyboard feels near-perfect in all aspects to playing the real thing! I play by ear and learned on a 1913 Acrosonic piano. I don't have room in my home for a piano.
Donner did it right!!!

Bought the Keyboard for my 9 year old granddaughter. She spends her after school time at our home. The keyboard is fantastic. She is a beginner and is practicing every day using an on line piano app. I think I'm going to join her. She played "We Will Rock You" today. Such fun and sounds terrific on the Donner. Plus it looks the part!

This digital piano was a Christmas gift to me from my daughters and I love it! At my age (80) it is hard to buy for me. I am learning to play and really enjoying the music. I’m sure everyone in the family will have fun with it!

I bought this as a replacement for an older Casio keyboard to use for church. This far exceeded my expectations. I don't really play many sounds other than the Piano sound, but the sound is very full and has so much life. It is something that I would recommend to anyone that isn't looking into the "Premium" end of the spectrum. The few sounds that I use on here are miles better than anything close to the price range.

This keyboard plays beautifully! The sound is amazing! I also loved the weighted keys making the feel of playing a real piano. I would highly recommend this keyboard for an level pianist, from beginners to advanced. The shipping speed was great too! I ordered it on one day and received it the very next day!

Working out great for piano lessons so far! We just need to buy a stand!

absolutely fantastic! couldn’t be happier with my purchase, took a couple weeks to get here

I have had this piano for about a week and its really awesome. I am a beginner and the keys feel great, fully weighted. It sounds great. It came well packaged. I appreciate the included Sustain pedal. Its an excellent piano at this price point!

Great sound, nice solid feel, excellent service and great warranty.

I have never played piano or keyboard before and I realized that I have really enjoyed the sound. Playing guitar and bass guitar (as a hobby - I’m not a pro by any means) before this, I have found that this keyboard has everything I was looking for as a starter. I had weighed my options for a few days when I knew I wanted to get a keyboard, and found that the price ranges came with sacrifice; keyboards from other brands that were the equivalent of the DEP 10 would leave me out of the experience of owning a more portable version of a real piano. So, I looked to the DEP 20, which has better features for a bit of a price increase. This keyboard has got everything I, and I imagine any other beginners would be looking for. I highly recommend this keyboard in particular for someone looking to get in to piano and stick with it because it leaves minimal sacrifices in terms of quality for the price it demands. Be cautious of purchasing the DEP 20 if you believe that this cost may come back around in the end because you will not play it. But no doubting that this keyboard will find fulfillment in the hands of someone who will simply enjoy being able to play songs on piano.
Allan G.
Love the DEP20 BUT YOU HAVE A FIVE PIN CONNECTOR FOR A TRIPLE PEDAL and you don't offer one and have been totally unresponsive to my emails about this. Who makes the 3 pedal unit that you put on the furniture version?? Why can't you provide the pedal unit that you use on the stand as an option? You are basically lying to your customers...There is not a 3 pedal unit available for the portable version of the DEP20 ANYWHERE! I will probably replace this unit because I want a triple pedal and you bet it won't be another Donner product. Effectivelyt you offer no technical service whatsoever. Your lack of knowledge about your own products will certainly catch up with you.

The action and the quality of the sounds are superior to my experience with other keyboards

We received a faulty DEP-20 & the return process is a nightmare. Donner customer service contact is absolutely abysmal - slow to non-existent & when they do finally get around to replying to your countless emails, they're sketchy, unhelpful, short on proper wording & give you the runaround. They actually tried to offer $30 for a repair that would cost $100s, no joke - what legit business acts as such?? We're still in the process of trying to obtain a RA number & our full refund after over 13 emails. Read many other customers experience the same abysmal customer service - Donner's statement "just in case you're not 100% satisfied. We've made the return and exchange process super easy" is a flat out lie.

I bought my Donner keyboard on Amazon and I love it so much that I bought one from the Donner website for my grand kids. They love it too!
Jim G.
Probably not for advanced uses, due to less detail in the key pressure sensitivity levels, but for my purposes, I'm very happy.
The key weight has the feel of a piano, which was what I was needing, for a beginner practice piano.
Good feel and build quality, without breaking the bank.
Jim Y.
I was slightly worried about quality based on some YouTube reviews. But loved the price and also understood the reviewers were expert level pianists and could be confusing entry level vs high level instruments. I’m so glad I decided to purchase. It blew away any concerns I had and it’s an excellent instrument to learn piano and beyond. Perhaps after several years of playing, I’ll look for an upgrade. But for my needs, this is a perfect instrument.
If I had ONE complaint, the labels for the buttons is on a cardboard strip glued to the machine rather than painted on the plastic itself. I worry it will warp or peel over the long haul.

I needed an electic piano for vocal practice and I am truly loving it !

So, I've had my DEP-20 now for a week. I am very happy I bought it.
I shopped around for just the right digital piano for about three months. I finely chose the DEP-20 because it has far more for under $400.00 than anything else out there right now. The most important tones (digitized instrument sounds) are very good and it has way loads more of them that its competition. The same is true with everything else about the DEP-20. It has far more rhythms, far more demos, far more features and far more connectivity options in this price range.
Also, it has a very strong case that can stand up to being carried around to gigs and other things. The sheet music stand it comes with is built like the case as one thick, strong, large piece of plastic and that is something you usually only find on much more expensive pianos. It has two headphone ports on the front of the case and two speakers on top but also two more speakers on the underside of the case and three short legs to keep the underside speakers above a tabletop. Donner has thought of everything.
I have to admit I was skeptical at first about just how good a digital piano could be for under $400.00 but now that I have practiced and played on my DEP-20 everyday for a week I think of the DEP-20 now as a beginners dream come true. I highly recommend it.
Also, I want to say customer service at Donner is world class.

Best customer service I've ever had online. Great product for great price.

As a beginning piano keyboard it’s a perfect investment to make sure the student is going to stick with it. Compared to the professional digital piano I take lessons on, this keyboard has some differences in sound quality and key weight. I’ve done my best to adjust the settings to match the lesson piano, and it’s pretty close, but the differences are obvious.
Having said this, this keyboard isn’t really a performance piano and as a learning piano it serves its purpose perfectly for the price and value.
If you are a new student, I strongly recommend starting with this piano with the knowledge that it may need to be replaced for a performance piano down the road.

I have wanted to learn piano for YEARS and finally bit the bullet, buying this keyboard for my 40th birthday. I have nothing to compare it to, but I am very happy with it. The sound is great, and my kids love to explore all the "extras". The adjustable volume has a big range, and it can get REALLY loud (I keep it turned almost all the way down to practice in my apartment). My only issue is there doesn't seem to be a regular headphone jack (for headphones like you'd use with a cell phone), so my plans of practicing when the kids are asleep got scrapped. Otherwise, super happy with my purchase.

This piano works amazing! It has all 88 keys and it sounds like an actual piano. In surprised at how good it it is for the price. It's great for beginners or anyone who wants a piano on a budget. The speakers work great, and so do the volume contols. It has more than enough buttons and voices for a beginner or anyone that doesn't want something too flashy. It has weighted keys and touch sensitivity. I am 100% pleasantly surprised.
The only problem I have is the audio port for the headphones. I don't know what size it is.. but other than that it's perfect.
Louis-Philippe A.
The weighted keys feel great and the piano plays well
Huan D.
The piano plays nicely and responsive, albeit the keys are a little light despite being advertised as hammer action. They mistakenly sent me the wrong item so I wasn't too happy about it. Customer service had some hiccups but if you are persistent with your contact they will solve your issue. I just wish they always have someone online to take your message. Communication is snail-pace due to opposite time zone.

Very good quality for the money.

This piano exceeded my expectations. I played on an acoustic piano for several years in school and recently decided I’d like to get back to it. My main purchasing decision was how the keys would feel compared to an acoustic piano. I definitely wanted something with weighted keys and hoped this would be good enough, and honestly I think the keys compare to a pricier digital keyboard — the keys themselves even have some texture to them, the black keys are pretty matte and don’t feel like cheap plastic.
I love that it came with a pedal, but it’s not the highest quality pedal. It has very little resistance when depressed.
I use over ear headphones with this and had to get one of those converter jacks. I don’t think the sound quality in the headphones is as good as the sound out of the speakers, but I don’t mind too much while practicing.
Jaylin G.
Loved it so much!
Yanet R.
This is really the next best thing to the reality of playing an actual piano and it has a lot of functions that make it worth the trade for the slight difference in keyboard.
Both myself and my husband love the sound and feel of a real piano. Unfortunately we don’t have the space and for recording, a keyboard of this caliber is really necessary.
The difference in playing is very slight, you have to have an excellent ear to even catch the slight delay between playing the note and the sound and if you aren’t the one playing, you can’t tell at all no matter how good your ear is.
The sound on the keyboard is beautiful it has good sound on it’s own and it can be hooked up to speakers to fill an auditorium of any size or to headphones so it can be played while my husband is in a zoom meeting!
It can also be programmed to have multiple tones and even to have single keys play different chords! It can make a simple piece of melody turn into a symphony with the right adjustments!
It also can be made to play as different instruments, many keyboards do this, what I like about this keyboard is that you can program it so only half or only certain areas or keys play as different instruments!
This makes it insanely versatile and gives nearly unlimited creativity to someone who wants to enhance a piece of music or compose their own music.
It’s easy to record of off, their are multiple methods to plug into the keyboard with from cords, USB, thumb drives, MP3 players etc
There were two surprises when it came in, I kind of thought it came with the bag it was shown with in many of the pictures. It doesn’t come with that.
I DID think I would have to buy the sustaining pedal, it costs over $200 to buy, I was delighted to find that it was included!! It works great and I thought I would have to buy it later.
The keyboard is a large machine and I’m not sure how portable I would consider it to be. Definitely get it and measure it before buying a bag or case to make sure it will fit as I was surprised by how ‘deep’ it was.
It doesn’t take up a lot of room, except that it is a full 88 keys and that’s going to be fairly long. It has good speakers and a lot of components. It’s definitely a worthy piece of equipment and sturdy. It’s not extremely heavy, but it’s not light either. It’s very much worth it for the sound you get and everything else.

Very nice keyboard for the price. The keys are weighted to match an acoustic piano.
And includes many features that make practicing fun.

My daughter has been using this piano for more than a month, it has everything we need.
She has playing piano for around 2 years and she was ready for an upgrade, my eyes were on Yamaha P125 which is around double the price of the Donner DEP-20 with the same (or little less) functionalities. I am happy with my purchase.
What I like:
Great value, weighted keys, Tones & Polyphony (can deliver what P125 does), high quality sustain peddle included
What can be better:
Thickness; it is significantly thicker than other keyboards
Katie B.
Love this piano!
The weighted keys are fabulous. Feels just like the real thing. The sound is fabulous. Lovely deep bass when you get to the low notes. Goes plenty loud to be heard in a moderately sized room or club. Nice variety of instruments. The grand piano sound great and many others are very well done as well, such as the vibes, electric piano, harpsichord as well. And to get auto-accompaniment, a nice reverb, split keyboard setting, dual voice, a one-track recorder and a quality sustain pedal with it is the icing on the cake.
It's a little on the thick side, so make sure whatever you put it on is a little lower than normal, or you will stand to play. It is fairly heavy as well, but I suppose the fully weighted keys add to that.
All in all, for the price, I am blown away by this not-so-little keyboard. As a musician of many years, I am quite pleased and will definitely buy Donner products again thanks to their quality and price point.

Great product, the only thing better than a rose on my Donner piano is tulips on my organ!
drebot
Very pleased with this piano. I was looking for a fully weighted keyboard with 88 keys just for casual home use, and we are very happy with this one! The only minor thing to get used to was that the keys require a slightly firmer touch than our other regular piano, unsure if this could be said about all digital pianos or not. Overall we are very happy with the purchase! It arrived 3 days early too, always a bonus!

Made a purchase and want to cancel and buy something different from Donner.
I sent a chat through Facebook and two emails.
No response and no phone number to call.
Miguel R.
An amazing keyboard for a great price! Loved it until I lost my power supply a few days ago. Gave this a 4 star because I have been attempting to contact Donner to ask for purchase of a potential replacement, but they do not respond. Anyone have any idea what a good power supply replacement might be?
Nexus
This is full size keyboard with "weighted" keys. What that means is that it has the same feel as a piano rather than the soft feel of cheap electronic keyboards. It also registers how hard you strike the key and plays softer/louder accordingly. This is important if you want to the feel of playing a "real" piano.
The piano does NOT come with a stand, I used a cheap "X" stand that I already have. This could be a problem if you don't have a large table to put it on. On the other hand the piano has feet that lift it off the table so that the sound that comes from the bottom resonates on the table rather than be muffled (there are also smaller speakers on the top).
I think it sounds great and is pretty loud. There are 2 convenient headphones jacks to practice in silence (and duets :) ) I tried also connecting the audio out to an amplifier and boy did it sound great with a full size speaker!
The piano has lots of different sounds, from bells, to organ, to strings, etc... so I'm sure there are lots of sounds for everybody, but I wanted a piano, so I really only use the "Grand Piano" sound which is the default when you turn it on.
From the photos you can see it has a sustain pedal like a real piano to let the notes resonate even when you let go (see the video). According to the manual you can also get a 3 pedal set, but it doesn't come with it. As you can see from the photos on Amazon, the piano comes with a music sheet holder, I don't have it up in the video.
There are lots of cool features, like the ability to play along with demo tracks, do automatic chords, etc... I didn't play with too many of those, because I wanted a piano but I didn't have the money or room for a "real" piano. I do like that it has a built-in metronome, playing with a metronome beat is an important skill for beginners.
I love the ability to play along with your own MP3s/tracks. either use the "audio in" cable or plug a USB stick with your tracks right in the back of the piano.
Anything bad?
Well, I mentioned that it doesn't come with a stand. I have bought other Donner instruments and they came with a bunch of accessories so I had assumed it would come with a stand (my mistake). I gues that way you can buy anything you want (you can see mine is cheap and is wobbly in the video).
The black keys are slightly textured on the top instead of 100% smooth. Maybe some pianos are that way (black keys used to be made out of ebony, which is wood, and white keys covered with ivory, which is very smooth), but the piano I grew up with had very smooth black keys. Probably a matter of personal preference.
My son is the real piano player in the family but too shy for a video, so you get to hear my playing. My phone is not great at recording videos, it sounds better in person, but you get the idea.
This instrument is a great alternative for a student that is just starting and may not stick to his piano lessons (I'm looking at my other son here :+) ) and is a good portable option if you play with friends outside of the home.
I'm attaching a few photos and a quick video review, and I will answer comments to my review if I can.

First and foremost, for an electric piano at this price, its a great deal. I wanted a weighted 88 key keyboard/piano that plays like a real piano, and this does. I've had this piano for a few days now, and have been playing it a lot. I am very happy with this purchase and recommend it to anyone who is looking for an electric piano in this price range. The construction of this piano is a lot more durable than I was expecting it to be. I tried to put some info down below on the features I've noticed so far, I hope this helps anyone who reads it.
Why did I buy this piano: I bought this for my daughters who I am going to start giving lessons to. I have a cheaper Yamaha keyboard that was more for recording, and doesn't feel and play like a real piano, so I started shopping for something like this so my daughters will be able to get the idea of the feel of a acoustic piano. I didn't want to go too cheap in the hope that they stick with it, and I can get a few years out of it.
Speakers: The speakers are very clear, and do not seem to clip or scratch when turned all the way up. Even with the bass sounds, the speakers perform great. I've been keeping the volume at about 75%, and that's really all that's needed. The speakers have some great range and handle high end and low end really well. I've also noticed that nothing on the piano vibrates, hums or gives any annoying, unintended sound when the volume is up.
Headphones: There are 2 1/4 in headphones jacks in the front of the piano, which is nice so you're not looking behind it to plug them in when you want to play quietly. I'm playing with more studio quality headphones and the volume isn't clipping in the headphones, but that could be due to the type i'm using. I'm not sure how it will sound with earbud type headphones.
Weighted Keys: All in all, I'm happy with the weight and the pressure needed to press the keys. They may be a little heavier than the acoustic piano I grew up with, but they're really natural feeling. The keys themselves actually have some density to them, and don't feel like cheap, hollow plastic like many keyboards do. They do have felt at the base of the keys unlike many low cost keyboards.
Sound Effects: There are a lot, but I stick with the Grand Piano, or Bright Piano effect. Like many keyboards, most effects are unnecessary, but they're there if you need them. There are some decent strings, orchestra, and pads with this keyboard.
Sustain Pedal: The frame is plastic but the pedal itself is metal and feels really durable. It just has a 1/4 in jack and plugs in the back. No issues with mine, works as expected.
USB and MP3: I haven't used either of these yet, but plan to use the USB for recording on a DAW.
On board recording: This works great and is easy to use. I haven't messed with this a ton, but I don't think it will create a loop to play over, but I could be wrong. From what I've seen, the recording feature just records the whole song your playing, then you can play over it while replaying the track.
Recommendation: I'm giving it 5 stars and would recommend it to anyone looking in this price range. Its not going to play like a pristine $2000 electric piano, but at this price range and for what I'm doing with it, I'm very impressed with it.

Following up on my earlier negative review, Donner reached out and expedited a new keyboard to us, which is working beautifully. Thank you, Donner! We are fans again.
Ashley C.
This keyboard worked great until it stopped turning on. Now we are being ghosted by Donner and are stuck with a $300+ keyboard that doesn't turn on, and no replacement in sight.
Cris I.
Sounds so real and keys feel so good to play with. Makes you want to keep playing more!

Great product (especially for it’s price point)!

What a great starter keyboard for my son who's learning piano. It came quickly in the mail and had an issue with one of the keys and part of the stand. The customer service was quick to understand the problem and overnight me replacement parts with instructional install videos. The keyboard is very much a starter keyboard, no bells and whistles, but it sounds great and does exactly what we need it to do.
