Over all I like my product. I am extremely amateur and was just looking for something I could play around with to start out. Unfortunately I popped a string during the very first tuning and could not figure out how to add the spare one. The spare ones were really appreciated though. I finally found a video that helped me to understand what I was doing wrong but unfortunately I had already damaged the spare string too badly by the time I figured it out. But all in all, what is left of the adorable instrument & remaining strings works for my experimentation.

As a beginner, I don't know what to expect but I really want to learn to make good music with a harp. Buying this product is a good step to learn. It comes with a learning guide. I had to learn how to tune it(came untuned when delivered) but it sounds so well after that. The wood seems to be of good quality too. I like that this comes with a protective case and extra strings too.

I just loved this instrument, the quality is awesome, the attention to detail is great and it feels and sounds amazing. If you are looking for a nice instrument that is easy to carry out and sounds amazing, this is the product for you. The wood feels great, the strings too and it even comes with two picks and a set of spare strings. I have been playing it no stop since I got it.

The Donner Lyre Harp is a beautifully crafted instrument. I've always wanted a lyre harp and was finally able to purchase one for myself and I'm so happy with my choice. This harp is a beautiful color, it has a sweet, intricate design on the front. The piece is not too heavy, but it has nice weight and feels solid in structure. The gold strings included compliment the color of the wood nicely. Also, the travel bag the harp came with doesn't exactly look like an instrument bag, which is nice for incognito carrying! I love that the piece came with extra strings, picks, wrench for tuning and a wipe cloth. I can't wait to get started playing with the songs included in the complimentary booklet.

This Donne Lyre Harp made of Mahogany is absolutely stunning! It's very well designed with a 10 Metal String Bone saddle and a set of extra strings! This Ancient Greece Style Lyre Harp also came with a Tuning Wrench and Black Gig Bag that is like a cute little backpack. There's a couple of picks and a cleaning cloth plus a booklet that explains how to tyne it and includes a couple of cute short songs to learn! This was actually more than expected and I'm super pleased!

I am a first-time learner and with some instructions, I was able to tune the lyre and start playing. I watched a couple of videos and hope to learn this year. The quality of the wood is smooth and nicely finished. The size is suitable for me and I’m 5”3.

Good construction, not so loud or refined sound like a handmade instrument would sound, maybe because the wood is too thick for vibrating freely. But it's a nice Instrument for the price

I would advise not tuning it to where the book says. Instead of doing it G4 do G3 I broke 2 strings before realizing I needed to do it a number lower than suggested in the book.

The media could not be loaded. I'm very happy with my 10-string lyre. It is very easy to play, in a half hour I could play through a couple of songs. I like the sound of the steel strings. The tuning instructions I received were not good and I broke a string the first time I tuned it. But fortunately it came with a spare set of strings so I replaced it and continued on. The lowest string should be tuned to C4. The strings do go a little flat pretty quick, but it's hardly noticeable. It would be important to tune it often if you are playing along with other instruments. It's very relaxing to play and I'm really enjoying it. I was reading Psalm 33 in the Bible recently and it mentions the 10 string lyre. That's why I decided to get one and see if I could play it. The video is me playing Jesus loves me and it only took a few minutes to learn.

I wish I could play it. Unfortunately my arthritic hands with knuckle implants are unable to play it. Not the product’s fault. May be a good instrument for a child to learn.

Sent this as a gift to our 19 year ols. He is so talented in learning mew instruments. This was well packaged, good quality, and came with everything almost everything you would need. The only thing it was missing was a tuner, but, he has a few for other instruments lol.

It is easy to hold and is a very nice harp. Be very careful when trying to tune it. The strings busted very easily.

So I didn't actually consider this when I was making the purchase, but tuning a lyre is actually not a common thing and the internet doesn't have many resources for it. I instead had to pick a range that I liked, and then just tune it by ear, which worked fine, but I ended up breaking THREE STRINGS just to get it to work. You have to be super delecate with the process and even then, the taught strings will cause large detuning over time. I accept that this is mostly my fault due to inexperience with the instrument, but at the same time, buyers need to keep in mind that this does not come tuned and is fairly difficult to get right.
